Biography

Mohan Segal was born on December 1, 1921 in Jullundur, Punjab, British India [now India]. He was a director and producer, known for New Delhi (1956), Sajan (1969) and Sawan Bhadon (1970). He died on October 19, 2005 in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India.

Father of editor Deepak Segal.

Father in law of director Bela Segal (Deepak's wife and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's sister).

Partner of actress Asha Mathur.

Daughter Uma Segal made the award winning documentary "The Sheter" in 1982.
