Biography

A former elementary and special education teacher in Florida, he attained BA degrees from both USF (elementary education) in 1972 and FSU (fine arts) in 1977.

Predominantly a leading actor from the musical stage with stock and repertory productions of "South Pacific" (opposite John Raitt), "Sugar" (opposite Phil Ford), "Kiss Me Kate," "Company," "Cabaret," "Of Thee I Sing," "The Fantasticks," "Godspell" (as Jesus), "Babes in Arms" and "A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum," among his many credits. His last musical was in the early 1990's -- the Los Angeles Ovation-winning jazz musical "City of Angels" at the Colony Theatre. This show stimulated his interest in leaving acting and musical theatre for jazz. He has since reverted back to using his christened name of Brumburgh.

Was a one-time member of Lonny Chapman's Group Repertory Theater in North Hollywood, California during the early 1980s.

In late 2007, the singer/actor, promoted by Sound Visions Media Group, produced a jazz CD entitled "Up Jumped Spring".

Met singer/actor Reece Holland on December 1, 1993. Three years to the day they had a civil ceremony and reside in a townhouse in the Los Angeles valley area. They married on December 1, 2014.
