- Ernst Schrumpf was born on October 30, 1863 in Weimar, Germany. He was an actor, known for Der Mann aus Zelle 19 (1922), Des Nächsten Weib (1916) and Villa Mephisto (1921). He died in July 1941 in Munich, Germany.
- In the 30s he only impersonated few roles in front of the camera.
- The actor Ernst Schrumpf was regularly engaged at the theater when he entered the film business at the age of 53.
- He made his first movie appearance in "Des nächsten Weib" (1916), afterwards followed a longer interruption before he continued his film career in the 20s.
