- Originally from Pennsylvania, Morris 'Mory' Schoolhouse was a former Marine. He lived in North Hollywood, California with his wife Trudi Schoolhouse and son Tipton when he committed suicide at age 30 while visiting Las Vegas, Nevada on February 24, 1967.
Had two sisters: Betty Jean and Muriel. - In June 1966, the Hollywood Reporter contained an advertisement simply saying, "Would you believe it? The world's greatest unknown actor (Morris Schoolhouse) is still unknown.".
- Schoolhouse paid $25 for a proxy marriage to model Sandy Stratton while they were in Tijuana, Mexico, in 1960. It was to take place in Morelos with impostors. However, this was a scam because neither he nor Stratton had immigration cards or tourist VISAs at the time, which were needed for the marriage to be valid. The marriage was never performed and no marriage license was ever received by either. Stratton later sued for divorce on the grounds that no marriage had ever taken place. In 1962, a Los Angeles Superior Court judge annulled the marriage. [Los Angeles Evening and Sunday Herald Examiner, Thursday, April 5, 1962].
