- Dick Schneider was born on March 7, 1921 in Cazadero, California, USA. He was a director and producer, known for Jeopardy! (1984), Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (1982) and Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade (1991). He died on October 16, 2007 in Salisbury, Connecticut, USA.
- Mr. Schneider was president of The National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences for several years in the early 1980's and was a member of the Director's Guild of America and New York.
- He was a gourmet cook and great gardener. He enjoyed traveling around the world with his life partner, James Maher. Together the couple traveled to various places including New Zealand, China, Brazil and Europe.
