Eddie Schmidt is an Oscar- and Emmy-nominated documentary filmmaker, as well as a show runner, producer, and director for TV / streaming. He is known for Ugly Delicious (2018), Chelsea Does (2016), Valentine Road (2013), and This Film Is Not Yet Rated (2006), and has been married to production designer Rachel Kamerman since 2001.

Actor & Writer in LA sketch/prank comedy groups Laughing Stock and OOZE, which performed at the HBO/Comedy Central Workspace, The Comedy Store, Upfront Comedy, Ice House, The Troubadour, etc, between 1992 and 2002.

Served as Board President, International Documentary Association (IDA) from 2009 through 2011, and was its interim Executive Director during the latter half of 2008.
