Martin Schliessler was born on 3 June 1929 in Mannheim, Germany. He was a cinematographer and director, known for Im Zauber der Kordilleren (1958), The Shaper (1995) and Heiße Straße Kairo - Kapstadt (1961). He was married to Anemone Schliessler. He died on 4 September 2008 in Canada.
