Biography

Piero Schivazappa was born on April 14, 1935 in Colorno, Emilia-Romagna, Italy. He was a director and writer, known for The Laughing Woman (1969), Incontro (1971) and Lady of the Night (1986). He was married to Scilla Gabel. He died on December 14, 2017 in Rome, Italy.

One son Emiliano (b.1974).

Born in Colorno, Schivazappa entered the film industry in 1959 as an assistant director, collaborating with Valerio Zurlini, Mario Monicelli and Carlo Lizzani, among others. In 1963, he started collaborating with RAI for news reports and documentaries.

Piero is the husband of Scilla Gabel, an actress he directed in several television works.
