Allen Schinkel

Deciding not to become an accountant, Allen became a graphic designer/illustrator instead. From there he devolved into advertising: first as an art director then as a creative director. When he bumped into an old high school buddy who asked Allen if he'd like to see a short film he was in the process of editing, Allen said 'yes' ...and ended up editing the film. And thus began his career in film. A Genie-nominated writer/producer/director, his films have been played at numerous, major international festivals including Cannes, garnering finalist and honourable mentions.
