Biography

Suzanne Schiffman was born on September 27, 1929 in Paris, France. She was a writer and assistant director, known for Day for Night (1973), The Last Metro (1980) and The Story of Adele H (1975). She was married to Philip Schiffman. She died on June 6, 2001 in Paris, France.

French screenwriter, latterly director, associated with Francois Truffaut for whom she worked at first on continuity, as assistant and co-screenwriter. She was previously a student of art history at the Sorbonne.

Grandmother of Némo Schiffman.
