Biography

Adrian Scarborough was born on May 10, 1968 in Melton Mowbray, Leicestershire, England, UK. He is an actor and producer, known for Vera Drake (2004), Gosford Park (2001) and Dirty Pretty Things (2002). He is married to Rose Blackshaw. They have two children.

In March 2011 he won the Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role in a revival of the play "After the Dance" at the National Theatre Lyttelton.

In March 2013 he was nominated for an Olivier award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in "Hedda Gabler" at the Old Vic Theatre.

In October 2020 he won the Olivier Award for Best Actor in a Supporting Role for his performance in the play "Leopoldstadt" at Wyndham's Theatre.

He once played Billy Wilder in a British radio play about the making of "Double Indemnity".

As of 2014, has appeared in three films that were nominated for the Best Picture Oscar: Gosford Park (2001), The King's Speech (2010) and Les Misérables (2012). Of those, The King's Speech (2010) is the only one which won in the category.
