As a writer, I can construct anything I like. With drama, you have the freedom to tell the story you want about difficult subjects, about the most intimate features in people's lives. With documentary, you are using people, exposing people's private lives on screen and it's very difficult to get that relationship right. With drama, you don't feel guilty about showing every aspect of people's lives.
