Streaming Stars, Then and Now

Born on May 2, 1945 in Sofia in the family of director and founder of the Sofia Satirical Theatre Stephen Surchadzhiev and Anna Fadenheht, the daughter of lawyer and politician Joseph Fadenheht. In 1970 he graduated from Higher Institute of Theatrical Arts (later: National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts.He has worked in theaters in Sliven and Kyustendil. Later he has worked at the Theatre Bulgarian Army in Sofia and at the Burgas theater. Since 1984 he is named People's Artist.

Father Stefan Sarchadzhiev was a director and founder of the Satirical Theatre, mother Anna Fadenhecht was the daughter of lawyer and politician Yosif Fadenhecht.

Member of the Union of Bulgarian Filmmakers.

His daughter from his wife Raina Tomova is a screenwriter.

Member of the Union of Bulgarian Artists.

In 1970 he graduated from the National Academy for Theatre and Film Arts.

From December 5, 1997 to 2001, he was a member of the National Radio and Television Council from the National Assembly quota.

Has an estranged daughter, Aleksandra Sarchadjieva, from his relationship with actress Pepa Nikolova.
