Biography

Gregg Sargeant is a SAG Award nominated actor, stunt coordinator, stuntman, producer and director known for his work on Pirates of The Caribbean: On Stranger Tides (2011), Pirates of The Caribbean: At Worlds End (2007), Gangster Squad (2013), Master and Commander (2005) and I Am The Night (2019) opposite Chris Pine. His passion for film began early on when at the age of seven he discovered his father's 8-millimeter movie camera. One look through the viewfinder and he was hooked. What followed was a passion for creating thrilling stories with moving images that continues today. An accomplished Stunt Coordinator and action actor of Italian and Greek descent, Gregg quickly found himself doubling notable actors including Jared Leto, Shia LaBeouf, Patrick Dempsey and Kevin Bacon. He has enjoyed a wild ride and successful transition from Stuntman to Actor to Stunt Coordinator, Second Unit Director and Director. His career has spanned the full spectrum of some of the highest grossing movies and hit TV series. His unique array of talents culminate in an exceptional ability to create, capture and deliver action sequences that audiences flock to theaters to experience. He has worked with Hollywood A-Listers Tom Cruise, Russell Crowe, Johnny Depp, Ryan Gosling, Chris Pine and many more. He was nominated for the prestigious Screen Actors Guild Award for his work on the second installment of the Jerry Bruckheimer pirate franchise, Pirates of The Caribbean: At Worlds End. In addition Gregg continues to enjoy collaborating with Hollywood's best to bring heart pounding performances and compelling stories to the big and small screen alike.

2007 Grand Prize Winner - Best Original Screenplay, "Search for Atlantis" Scriptapalooza Screenplay competition.

Was discovered by an agent while working in a Book Bindery, packing PLAYBILL programs in boxes for Broadway shows and was recruited as a photo double for Patrick Dempsey and Kevin Bacon in a variety of movies.

In 1985 Sargeant was cast to dance alongside Michael Jackson in the 3D Disney movie, Captain EO. The production was directed by Francis Ford Coppolla and produced by George Lucas. He later reappeared once again with Michael in Moonwalker.

On December 5, 2013 Gregg was Awarded the Citizen's Meritorious Service Award from the city of San Diego Police Department for bravery and heroism while saving the life of a woman dangling from the fourteenth floor of a high rise building. The award was presented by San Diego Chief of Police William Lansdowne.

In 1989 had a recording contract with the legendary Barry White.
