Biography

Leopoldine Sangora was born on November 15, 1875 in Vienna, Austria. She was an actress, known for Peer Gynt (1934), Die Frau von morgen (1921) and Marodeure der Revolution (1920). She died in 1963.

Maternal aunt of Richard Erdoes.

Her first movie was "Marodeure der Revolution" (1919) with Kurt Ehrle and Max Gülstorff and 2 years later "Die Frau von morgen" (1921). She only returned to the cinema during the sound film era of the 30s for 2 movies.

The theater remained her main activity field and she only appeared sporadically in front of the camera.

The actress Leopoldine Sangora got an acting education by Louisabeth Röckel and afterwards she made her stage debut in Berlin. In the next years followed engagements in Potsdam, Riga, Leipzig, Vienna Hamburg und Frankfurt.
