  • He was responsible for the script and direction of To Norway, Home of Giants , which was Norway's contribution to the Festival Rose d'Or (the television entertainment festival in Montreux ).
  • Together with his father-in-law Bias Bernhoft, he wrote scripts for several Norwegian film comedies in the 1960s and 1970s, including Operasjon Sjøsprøyt and Operasjon Løvsprett.
  • Sand wrote the lyrics for Chat Noir's family show Davy Crockett with melodies by Arne Bendiksen in 1966.
  • He is particularly known for his character "Stutum" on Norwegian radio in collaboration with Totto Osvold, a role which earned him and Osvold the award Spellemannprisen 1973.
