Barbara Samuels(I)

Barbara Samuels is a writer-producer who was born in Montreal, Quebec. She co-created the TV series North of 60 (1992) and Black Harbour (1996-1999), and also wrote the TV movie Chasing Freedom (2004). She was the co-writer and producer of the Australian-Canadian miniseries Answered by Fire (2006), the first dramatic co production between the CBC and the ABC. She also wrote the screenplay and was a producer on the feature film Through Black Spruce (2018).
