Evgeniy Samoylov was born on 16 April 1912 in St. Petersburg, Russian Empire [now Russia]. He was an actor, known for Six P.M. (1944), Waterloo (1970) and Shors (1939). He was married to Zinaida Levina. He died on 17 February 2006 in Moscow, Russia.

Born in pre-revolutionary St. Petersburg, Russia. Samoilov began as a
theater actor in 1930. He was honored as a National Artist of Russia in
1954 and as a National Artist of the USSR in 1974.
