Biography

Leonard Salzedo was born on September 24, 1921 in Hackney, London, England, UK. He was a composer, known for Blonde Bait (1956), Sea Wife (1957) and The Unholy Four (1954). He was married to Patricia Mary Clover. He died on May 6, 2000 in Leighton Buzzard, Bedfordshire, England, UK.

English composer and conductor of Spanish/Jewish ancestry, trained at the Royal College of Music in London. He wrote concertos and ballets, becoming principal conductor of the Scottish Ballet (1972-74) and Music Director of the London City Ballet (1982-86). His film compositions were mainly for Hammer in the 1950's. Among these, he is best remembered for The Revenge of Frankenstein (1958).
