T. Saltina

"Tina Saltina" was the pseudonym of Tatina Salesi, wife of composer-conductor Pippo Barzizza whom she married in 1929. Her only film score was Siamo tutti inquilini (1953) which her husband conducted. The song from that film "Quant'è bella la vita" was co-written with the couple's mutual friend Riccardo Morbelli. In 1958 Tina/Tatina was credited as musical director on a number of Arturo Testa songs (Sei Fantastica, Sera, Dorina, Fischietando, Concerto d'autunno) released on the Philips label. Tatina and Pippo's 65-year association finally ended with Pippo's death in 1994.
