Harry Salter was born on 14 September 1898 in Bucharest, Romania. He was a producer and writer, known for Yours for a Song (1961), Alan Carr's Epic Gameshow (2020) and Name That Tune (1953). He was married to Roberta Semple Salter. He died on 5 March 1984 in Mamaroneck, New York, USA.

His wife was Roberta Semple, daughter of the famous Los Angeles evangelist, <a class="ipc-md-link ipc-md-link--entity" href="/name/nm2492420/?ref_=nmtrv_trv">Aimee Semple McPherson</a>.
