- John Safran was born in December 1972 in Melbourne, Australia. He is a writer and producer, known for John Safran vs. God (2004), Music Jamboree (2002) and John Safran's Race Relations (2009).
- Lied about his age when he was 15 so he could attend a College of Adult Education songwriting workshop.
- In year 12, formed hip-hop group "Raspberry Cordial" who won the RMIT Battle of the Bands competition. But they lost the state final and broke up.
- When he was nine he ran away from Jewish Sunday School and the police spent all day checking drains in the area.
