Kevin Saffer

Born and raised in South Africa, entertainment has been the 'family business' for three generations. After moving to Toronto Canada in the late 80's with his parents and four older siblings, his interest in the arts and entertainment started to bloom. Kevin produced several short films, fashion shows and directed a national TV commercial before leaving high school to pursue a BFA in Film at York University. For the next decade Kevin worked on numerous feature films, cable movies and TV series before broadening his skill-set in the advertising world. He spent the next few years producing for a number of major advertising agencies, and in late 2007 Kevin joined the TAXI network of agencies as Executive Producer/Director of Content Production. After five years and numerous awards including a Gold Cyber Lion and a Gold Bessie, Kevin left TAXI in to build his own integrated production company... and launched TOUCHPOINT Films which soon branched out into long format narrative and non-fiction production. For 4 years, TOUCHPOINT produced numerous award winning feature films, short films, and multiple web/digital series, with international film festival screenings including TIFF, Cucalorus, and Whistler Film Festival. In 2018, Kevin joined his long time colleague Cynthia Heyd to launch HeydSaffer, a content production agency that works with brands and agencies to produce all forms of visual media, branded content, and filmed entertainment. HeydSaffer fosters talent and collaboration in the advertising and entertainment spaces, and continues to garner awards and nominations for their branded and non-branded work.
