Graduated from the directing faculty of the Tashkent Theater and Art Institute, as well as the Higher Courses of Screenwriters and Directors in Moscow.
From 1967 to 1993, he worked as a director at the Tajikfilm film studio, creating a number of feature and documentary films that went down in the history of Tajik cinema.
