Laara Sadiq is an Award-winning Canadian actress of Pakistani descent that has appeared in many sci-fi oriented television shows and movies, including Battlestar Galactica (2004), Kyle XY, Dark Angel, and The Outer Limits. She played Technician Laura Davis in Stargate SG-1 (1997). Laara won Leo Award (2010) & Jessie Award (2017). Recipient of the 1994 Sam Payne Award for Most Promising Newcomer Recipient of the 2004 Jessie Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role: Large Theatre for her role as Chandni in the Arts Club Theatre production of The Matka King Recipient of the 2010 Jessie Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Lead Role: Small Theatre for her role as Nehrjas Al-Saffarh in the Touchstone Theatre, Felix Culpa and Horseshoes & Hand Grenades productions of Palace of the End Recipient of the 2010 Leo Award for Best Lead Performance by a Female in a Feature Length Drama for her role as Hayaam in Excited Recipient of the 2017 Jessie Award for Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role: Large Theatre for her role as Jamuna in the Touchstone Theatre production of Brothel #9
