Hossain Sabzian was born in 1954 in Iran. He was an actor, known for Close-Up (1990), Trial (2003) and Kanoon (2015). He died on 29 September 2006 in Tehran, Iran.
On the way to the first meeting for another documentary film with Kiarostami, he had an asthma attack, stayed in a coma for four months, and passed away at the age of 52.
