Former champion pole vaulter. Placed 13th in the 1976 Olympic Trials. While at the University of California at Irvine, set a school record in the pole vault of 17 1/2 feet that still stands.

Married Crystal Chappell at City Hall in Manhattan, New York.

First child, son Jacob Walker Sabatino, born May 11, 2000.

Often confused with another actor, Mike Sabatino, who has played small roles on NYPD Blue (1993).
