Biography

Michel de Ré was born on February 25, 1925 in Paris, France. He was an actor and writer, known for Lagardère (1967), Au théâtre ce soir (1966) and L'éducation sentimentale (1973). He died on March 15, 1979 in Paris, France.

Born Michel Alexandre Jean Lucien Galliéni, Michel de Ré was the grandson of French World War I hero Joseph-Simon Galliéni (1849-1916), who helped defeat the Germans at the Battle of the Marne (September 1914) by sending several regiments to the front in commandeered taxicabs.
