Nelson Ryland is a teacher, award-winning film editor, and occasional producer whose work has been featured on Netflix, HBO, Showtime, PBS, Hulu, and other platforms. Ryland has won multiple Emmy Awards, and his work has been nominated for a Walter Cronkite Award, Overseas Press Club citation, WGA, GLAAD, Society of Environmental Journalists, and AAAS Kavli Science Journalism awards, among others. He is a Fulbright scholar and a graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design. Ryland has taught graduate-level film editing at Brooklyn College and editing workshops at Maine Media Workshops + College.
