Jon Rutherford is a singer, actor and model on film, television and has been in countless magazines and catalogs. Through years of hard work, Jon has established himself as a versatile artist, who can sing, act and compose music. Jon has appeared in such well-known music videos with "The Bellamy Brothers," "Alan Jackson," "Billy Gilman," "Allison Krause," and Madonna. Recently, Jon was cast as the young Max Slater on the "Final Justice" episode of "Walker Texas Ranger," where he played the outraged remorseless killer of Walker's parents. Some of Jon's latest projects find him co-starring opposite Bernadette Peter's in an ABC Movie of the Week titled "Holiday In Your Heart" and National commercials for Chevy Trucks along side fellow Texan George Strait, three National commercials with Faith Hill for Alltel and another national spot for Wolf Brand Chili. "How long has it been since you've had a big, thick steaming bowl of Wolf Brand Chili? "Well neighbor, that's too long?" Recently, Jon had roles in a new IMAX feature film "Twang," "The Duo," "On Music Row," "Beyond The Wall Of Sleep," and most recently a cameo appearance in Ashley Judd's new film called "Come Early Morning." Jon's rich voice and smooth delivery of country favorites, along with his own compositions such as "Taste For Texas", "Just Another Day," and "Fight For Freedom" have thrilled audiences everywhere. Jon has been a standout at Farm Aid V with Willie Nelson, Cowboys in Dallas, Arlington and Atlanta, the Gordon Elliot Show in New York and the Showboat Casino in Atlantic City, New Jersey. In 1995, Jon was voted as Entertainer of the Year on the very well respected Johnnie High Country Music Revue in Arlington, Texas. In December of '04, Jon teamed up with AMG Country out of Austin who will release his first album titled "Tonight's On Me" in February 2005. The first single to be released to radio is slated for June 1st. With over 300 writing credits to his name, Jon's abilities as a composer and his feel for a song have been noted in Nashville where he is signed as a staff writer for Love The Music Publishing. Jon composes for himself and for other artists as well. In 1996, a co-writing project brought Jon his first album cut. The song titled "Talk To Me," can be found on LeAnn Rimes six times-Platinum selling and Grammy Award winning album titled "Blue." In April of 2006, Jon received a hand-written letter from President George W. Bush saying how much he enjoyed Jon's voice, his passion and his love for our country. In September, 2013 Jon's song "Cinderella Dream with Jon doing the vocals will be featured in the new film "Red Wing" starring Luke Perry and Bill Paxton. In the past year, Jon has opened for The Gatlin Brothers, Charlie Daniels, Joe Diffie, Clint Black, Mel Tillis and John Conley. In October of 2012, Jon was privileged and honored to introduce to the stage his long time musical influence, the incomparable George Jones. Jon's face and voice have recently been see and heard in advertising campaigns for Neiman Marcus, Calvin Klein, Wrangler, Lucchese, Circle S Western Wear, Miller Beer, J.C. Penney's, Justin Boots, Stetson Hats, Chevrolet, Toyota and Ford Trucks and most recently you'll find Jon featured in the western issue of Maxim Magazine.
