Born in Amsterdam and raised in Paris, Kamil Rustam grew up surrounded by the sound of the guitar, inspired both by his father's classical training and by the rock icons of the '60s and '70s. After ten years of classical studies at the Conservatoire du 14ème, he quickly became one of the most in-demand studio musicians in France, working with top pop artists and earning a « Victoire de la Musique » for Producer of the Year in 1985 alongside Manu Katché and Gabriel Yared, plus two nominations for Best Studio Musician the following two years. In 1996, he moved to Los Angeles, where he built a thriving career in the American entertainment industry. Today, he splits his time between the U.S. and France, composing, producing, arranging, and recording for leading pop artists as well as working on film music.
