Charlotte Russell went to the Fairfield School in Davis and Winters High School. She attended UC Berkeley and UCLA, and was a Kappa Kappa Gamma. She was a Goldwyn Girl and appeared in several Eddie Cantor movies.

She shared her interests and energy in the Junior League, the San Francisco Symphony, the San Francisco Opera, Ronald Reagan's gubernatorial and presidential campaigns, horseback riding and tennis. She and her husband loved entertaining and were a marvelous hostess and host in the city and in the country.
