Biography

Ossi Runne was born on April 23, 1927 in Viipuri, Finland. He was a composer and actor, known for Eurovision Song Contest (1956), Seis - Stop! (1965) and Nuottiavain (1986). He was married to Kaarina Runne. He died on November 5, 2020 in Helsinki, Finland.

Ossi Runne has conducted 22 times for Finland in the Eurovision Song Contest.

From 1964 to 1992 Runne was employed by Finnish National Broadcasting Company Yleisradio (YLE). Initially as the band leader of Radio's Dance Orchestra and later as the conductor at the television.
