- Life is made up of losses and choices. To choose one thing is to lose another, and you have to learn to live with that. I feel that the business of growing up, of assuming adulthood, is a highly enriching experience. That's when you experience all the fears, desires and doubts that are going to plague you for the rest of your life!
- When you're lucky enough to edit with the same degree of freedom that I had, the gap between editing and directing narrows. Because you're working on the development of dramatic structures and narratives. Editing and writing scripts gave me the experience and the courage I needed to have a go at directing a feature film.
