Biography

Jerry Rubin was born on July 14, 1938 in Cincinnati, Ohio, USA. He was an actor, known for Panther (1995), Rude Awakening (1989) and Dem Tinseltown Homiez, the Hollywood Guys (2021). He was married to Julia Clifton (Mimi) Leonard. He died on November 28, 1994 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Died after being struck by a taxi cab.

He wrote two books on his radical ideology entitled "Do It!" and "We Are Everywhere", and later another on his "psychological self-evaluation" and coming to terms with his rage by adopting a more business like approach to his goals, entitled "Growing (Up) at 37".

Close friend of both Abbie Hoffman and Paul Krassner. The three of them were the co-founders of the Youth International Party (aka "Yippie" or "YIP").

In the wake of his political bestseller "Do It!", two books with similar titles were printed to appeal to the counter-culture. "Eat It!" was a book of recipes, many involving whole grains or meatless dishes, and "Grow It!" was a book on organic gardening.

Is portrayed by Kevin Corrigan in Steal This Movie (2000).
