Nicolas Royer(I)
- Producer
- Production Manager
Nicolas Royer is an Executive Producer. From demanding art-house films to big-budget productions, with comedy in between, for StudioCanal, Warner, Netflix, Pathé, Gaumont and Arte. That ground, film after film, is what built him since 1997.
He is today a French partner international producers rely on to shoot and post their films in France, from prep to delivery: crews, studios, locations, post/VFX partners, authorities and the International Tax Rebate (up to 40%). A network thirty years in the making.
The film that comes up most: The Substance by Coralie Fargeat. 140+ awards, including Best Screenplay at Cannes 2024, a Golden Globe and an Oscar. Nicolas oversaw the entire production in France, from studio to the Riviera, post-production and VFX included. Among his other credits: Jappeloup (Pathé), Kings (Halle Berry & Daniel Craig), Madame Claude (Netflix), and around thirty more, at every budget level.
A film lover since age 6. That love hasn't faded, it's grown. What he has come to understand over the years is that what you're really after, when you make a film, is magic. The kind that crosses generations, the emotion that brings audiences together across the world and grows stronger with time. Being part of that search, alongside filmmakers and crews, is what drives him. More than ever.
