Jo Rowbottom was born in 1940 in Kensington, London, England, UK. She is an actress, known for Doctor Who (1963), Romany Jones (1972) and I, Claudius (1976). She has been married to Neil Telfer since 1979. She was previously married to Robert Clifford and Ronald Bridges.

Prior to, turning to acting she was a secretary at the BBC.

From the age of 8 she trained to be a ballet dancer and has 5 classical grades from the Royal Academy of Dancing.

3rd marriage to Neil Telfer, a lighting engineer with Thames Television.

Sons Paul born 1970/71, Jonathan born 1978/79.
