Biography

Carl 'Major' Roup was born on April 4, 1915 in Emmett, Idaho, USA. He was an assistant director and production manager, known for Magnum Force (1973), James at 16 (1977) and Mission: Impossible (1966). He died on March 20, 2002 in North Hollywood, California, USA.

Friend of actress Marion Davies.

Sold newspapers outside the MGM studio lot until Marion Davies got him permission to sell his papers on the lot.

Marion Davies paid for his education at the Pacific Military Academy in Culver City, California. He graduated in 1933.
