Martin Roth was born on January 24, 1924 in Brooklyn, New York, USA. He was a writer, known for My Favorite Martian (1963), The Dukes of Hazzard (1979) and Ark II (1976). He was married to Marjorie Tobias and Marilyn Roth. He died on March 25, 2000 in Los Angeles, California, USA.

Wife Marjorie (died 28 Nov 2012) was at one time president and sole owner of Hollywood Research Inc., the investigative arm of Confidential, the notorious Hollywood gossip magazine owned by her uncle Robert Harrision while then husband Fred Meade was secretary-treasurer.
