Michael A. Ross was born on April 16, 1956 in Los Angeles, California, USA. He is a producer and writer, known for Better Off Ted (2009), Andy Richter Controls the Universe (2002) and Fired Up (1997). He was previously married to Markie Post.

Daughters Katie Ross (born June 16, 1987) and Daisy Ross (born March 30, 1990) with his late wife Markie Post.

Before focusing on TV writing, he was an actor and once appeared with wife Markie Post on her Night Court (1984) series, and also performed the role of Rum Rum Tugger in the Los Angeles production of "Cats".
