Biography

Ethan Ross was born In New York City in 1974, to Mark and Martha Ross, his father Mark was an advertising creative director and later a award winning commercial film director. Ethan's mother is a fine artists and a retired preschool teacher. When Ethan was a baby, the Ross family moved form the upper west side of Manhattan, to New Jersey, Ethan and his sister Amanda (also in the Industry as a accomplished make-up artist), were raised in the north central New Jersey town of Westfield. As a young man Ethan enjoyed playing soccer, still photography and fine art. In 1992 Ethan sought furthering his studies of film and art at Syracuse University, Krouse Collage of Visual and Performing Arts. In the mid 90's after being a production assistant and location scout in N.Y., Ethan relocated to Los Angeles where he engrossed himself in any and all types of film and video productions. Ethan became a member of the Directors Guild in 1998, one of the youngest Assistant Directors's to join the Guild (at the age of only 24). Ethan continues to work on a variety of feature films and commercial productions across the globe.
