- Worked with the Moody Institute of Science in the late 1940s and formed his own film company, Great Commission Films, in 1949.
- Served in the Army Air Force during WWII as a navigator on a B-24 bomber. He was shot down over Germany and spent eight months in a prisoner of war camp.
- He died at a hospice in Westlake, CA.
- He had two children with his wife, Wanda: son, Rick, and daughter, Sylvia. He also had four grandchildren.
