Biography

Maurice Rosenfield was born on July 8, 1914 in Chicago, Illinois, USA. He was a producer and actor, known for Wavelength (1983) and Bang the Drum Slowly (1973). He was married to Lois Rosenfield. He died on October 30, 2005 in Glencoe, Illinois, USA.

Prior to his career as a producer he was the principal outside attorney for Playboy in the 1950's. He successfully fought censorship in a number of locales. In a landmark first amendment case, he represented Lenny Bruce before the Illinois Appellate Court in 1964 winning the comedian an acquittal on obscenity charges.
