Biography

Ralph Rosenblum was born on October 13, 1925 in Brooklyn, New York City, New York, USA. He was an editor and director, known for Annie Hall (1977), Sleeper (1973) and Bananas (1971). He was married to Davida Rosenblum. He died on September 6, 1995 in New York City, New York, USA.

Member of American Cinema Editors.

Taught film editing at Columbia University for a number of years until his death in 1995.

Innovative editor and occasional director. Noted for his work for Woody Allen and Sidney Lumet.

On Interiors (1978): Woody Allen managed to rescue Interiors, much to his credit. He was against the wall. I think he was afraid. He was testy, he was slightly short-tempered. He was fearful. He thought he had a real bomb. But he managed to pull it out with his own work. The day the reviews came out, he said to me, 'Well, we pulled this one out by the short hairs, didn't we?'
