As the lead voice of Princess Tiana in Disney's animated feature The Princess and the Frog (2009), Rose became the very first black Disney Princess.

Had to wear six inch heels while filming the title musical number in Dreamgirls (2006) as to appear in frame with co-stars Beyoncé and Jennifer Hudson.
