Mariana Rondón

Writer, director, producer, and Visual Artist. Born in Venezuela. Her films have been distributed worldwide and received highly reputed awards. Bad Hair (2013) received the Golden Shell at San Sebastian, Bronze Alexander and FIPRESCI Prize at Thessaloniki; and Silver Astor at Mar del Plata, along with 63 other awards. Zafari, her recent film, is to be released in 2024. Actually, she is co-directing The Night of San Juan (Redrum-Mexico), which is now at the shooting stage. As producer, with her company Sudaca Films she released Contactado (M.Ugás), at Tribeca 2020 and The Kid Who Lies (M.Ugás) at Berlinale Generation 2011, internationally awarded.
