Biography

Gian Luigi Rondi was born on December 10, 1921 in Tirano, Lombardy, Italy. He was a writer and director, known for Raffaello in casa (1963), L'Italia è di moda (1963) and Mi tío Jacinto (1956). He was married to Yvette Spadaccini. He died on September 22, 2016 in Rome, Lazio, Italy.

Member of the jury at the Cannes Film Festival in 1963, 1967 and 1980.

Brother of writer/director Brunello Rondi.

Member of the jury at the Berlin International Film Festival in 1982 and in 1961.

Member of the jury at the Venice Film Festival in 1949, 1950 and 1951.
