- Claire Rommer was married with Adolf Strenger, a prosperous Jew. With the rise of the Nazis they had to leave Germany and both emigrated to the USA via Portugal. From then on Claire Rommer didn't appear in a movie again.
- Although she was sent to a boarding-school by her parents she defied the opposition of her home and attended the famous Reinhardt school in Berlin. There soon followed first appearances on German stages.
- She died from pneumonia in 1996.
- Claire Rommer made her film debut at the age of 18.
