  • Constantino Romero was born on May 29, 1947 in Albacete, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. In the early 70's he started as dubbed voice actor, in movies as They Call Me Mister Tibbs! (1970) and Dirty Harry (1971). His voice tone, deep and serious, was turned in the most recognizable voice in Spain during the 70's years and the 80's, specially in titles as the three original Star Wars' movies, being the Spanish dubbed voice of Darth Vader, and the James Bond movie starred by 'Roger Moore'. In the middle 80's he started a carrier as host in TV shows. His first job for TV was El tiempo es oro (1987), a famous Spanish contest-show in this time (and subsequently) which was his first big success for Romero. At the same time he followed his work as voice over in movies like Terminator and some Clint Eastwood movies (between others), Romero turned in one of the most familiar faces in Spain with other TV shows like Valor y coraje (1993), La parodia nacional (1996), Alta tensión (1998) and Pasapalabra (2000). He died on May 12, 2013 in Barcelona, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. He was 65.
