Constantino Romero

Constantino Romero was born on May 29, 1947 in Albacete, Castilla-La Mancha, Spain. In the early 70's he started as dubbed voice actor, in movies as They Call Me Mister Tibbs! (1970) and Dirty Harry (1971). His voice tone, deep and serious, was turned in the most recognizable voice in Spain during the 70's years and the 80's, specially in titles as the three original Star Wars' movies, being the Spanish dubbed voice of Darth Vader, and the James Bond movie starred by 'Roger Moore'. In the middle 80's he started a carrier as host in TV shows. His first job for TV was El tiempo es oro (1987), a famous Spanish contest-show in this time (and subsequently) which was his first big success for Romero. At the same time he followed his work as voice over in movies like Terminator and some Clint Eastwood movies (between others), Romero turned in one of the most familiar faces in Spain with other TV shows like Valor y coraje (1993), La parodia nacional (1996), Alta tensión (1998) and Pasapalabra (2000). He died on May 12, 2013 in Barcelona, Barcelona, Catalonia, Spain. He was 65.

Castilian Spanish dubbing voice of Clint Eastwood in 31 films from Kelly's Heroes (1970) to Trouble with the Curve (2012).
He was known as "La Voz" (the voice) by his deep and recognizable voice tone.
His favorite dubbed work was in The Lion King (1994), declared by himself. Romero was the dubbed voice over Mufasa, Simba's father.
Castilian Spanish dubbing voice of James Earl Jones as Darth Vader in Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope (1977), Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back (1980) and Star Wars: Episode VI - Return of the Jedi (1983).
Along the all 80's and 90's years his voice was used as narrator of so much commercials.
