Flavio Romeo

Flavio Romeo has had a passion for film, television, and making people laugh for as long as he can remember. As a kid, school plays were his first stage, and comedy was his therapy. In fact, he worked hard to earn the unofficial title of Class Clown in high school a labor of love, naturally. His acting journey began in 1989 when he appeared in his first play at Branchville Country Theater in New Jersey. That led to years of community theater before he made the leap to a New York City Off-Off-Broadway stage. He has been performing on New York stages ever since. In the late 1990s, Romeo founded an improvisational comedy group that performed at venues throughout Manhattan. In 1999, he made his film debut in A Bad Thing Gone Worse, starring Dan DeLuca. He also began building a voiceover career, recording numerous commercial and animated voice overs. Then life took center stage. In the early 2000s, Romeo stepped away from the business to focus on what mattered most raising his three children. Now that they are grown, he has returned to doing what he loves: acting for television, film, and voiceover, while continuing to perform on stage at Theater 86 in NYC whenever his schedule allows. Romeo has studied with accomplished teachers including Aleksey Burago, Tony Greco, and the late Fred Rolf. But some of his greatest education has come from simply being on stage working alongside talented actors and directors, learning with every production, and discovering something new about the craft every time he steps into a role. Most recently, Romeo starred in Wild Dogs Production's First Rites, continuing a journey that began more than three decades ago. Now, Romeo is embracing this next chapter with the same enthusiasm that started it all. Drama, comedy, character work, Voice-Over give him a script and let's see what he can do with it.
